Visit from the Faculty of Advanced and Multidisciplinary Technology (FTMM), Universitas Airlangga

On Thursday, April 9, 2026, INEE received a visit from the Nanotechnology Engineering department of the Faculty of Advanced and Multidisciplinary Technology (FTMM), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Surabaya, Indonesia.

The UNAIR delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Prastika Krisma Jiwanti, the Deputy Dean (Research) of FTMM. This visit, which serves as one of the activities under an existing MoU, focused on discussing research collaborations between INEE and FTMM in the field of nanotechnology.

UNAIR is currently ranked 287th in the QS World University Rankings 2026 and 52nd in the Asian University Rankings. It is hoped that this collaboration will further increase research output and provide mutual benefits to both parties, particularly within the nanotechnology sector.

Research Direction Briefing by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research & Innovation (TNC P&I) and INEE Achievements 2022-2025

On March 12, 2026, a briefing on UniMAP’s research direction was delivered by YBhg. Prof. Ir. Dr. Rizalafande Che Ismail, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research & Innovation (TNC P&I), to all INEE staff.

The briefing, held in the INEE Main Meeting Room, was also attended by:

Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Fathinul Syahir Ahmad Saad, Director of CIC
Prof. Madya Ir. Dr. Khairul Salleh Basaruddin, Deputy Director of RMC

During the session, the Director of INEE also presented a briefing on INEE’s achievements for 2022–2025 and the targets for 2026. Our gratitude goes to the Office of the TNC P&I, RMC, and CIC. It is hoped that this briefing will further invigorate research activities at INEE.

Visit from Aromaticroot Company

A visit from Aromaticroot Queen Farmer Product LLP, based in Tamil Nadu, India, took place on March 11, 2026. The delegation was led by Mr. R.V.K. Mani, Head of Project & Plant Development.

The purpose of this visit was for the company to establish a partnership with INEE in the field of nanomaterial production based on herbal plants. It is hoped that this collaboration will yield fruitful results and benefit both parties.

Sentuhan Kasih INEE 2026M/1447H

During the recent Ramadan 1447H/2026M, INEE organized the Sentuhan Kasih INEE program. As in previous years, this program aims to help alleviate the living burdens of several asnaf (underprivileged) families around Seriab, Kangar.

Contributions in the form of groceries and cash were presented to the identified families. It is hoped that this small gesture from INEE will, to some extent, help ease the families’ burdens as they welcome Ramadan and Aidilfitri.

Our gratitude goes out to JPKKP Seriab, especially the Chairman of JPKKP Seriab, Tn. Hj. Yusof bin Ahmad, and all INEE staff involved in making this program a success.
