Visit from the Faculty of Advanced and Multidisciplinary Technology (FTMM), Universitas Airlangga

On Thursday, April 9, 2026, INEE received a visit from the Nanotechnology Engineering department of the Faculty of Advanced and Multidisciplinary Technology (FTMM), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Surabaya, Indonesia.

The UNAIR delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Prastika Krisma Jiwanti, the Deputy Dean (Research) of FTMM. This visit, which serves as one of the activities under an existing MoU, focused on discussing research collaborations between INEE and FTMM in the field of nanotechnology.

UNAIR is currently ranked 287th in the QS World University Rankings 2026 and 52nd in the Asian University Rankings. It is hoped that this collaboration will further increase research output and provide mutual benefits to both parties, particularly within the nanotechnology sector.

Visit from Aromaticroot Company

A visit from Aromaticroot Queen Farmer Product LLP, based in Tamil Nadu, India, took place on March 11, 2026. The delegation was led by Mr. R.V.K. Mani, Head of Project & Plant Development.

The purpose of this visit was for the company to establish a partnership with INEE in the field of nanomaterial production based on herbal plants. It is hoped that this collaboration will yield fruitful results and benefit both parties.

Visit by SJK (C) Nan Kwang Students

On 5 August 2025, INEE received a visit from 35 students and 5 accompanying teachers from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (C) Nan Kwang. The students were given a briefing on nanotechnology as well as a short explanation regarding the research processes carried out at INEE.

All participants were then taken to Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Library, Pauh Putra Campus, where they received a tour and an explanation from the assigned officer.

It is hoped that this visit will raise awareness about nanotechnology and foster greater interest among students in STEM. The selection of the school and full sponsorship were provided by Bioeconomy Corporation (BioCorp), an agency under MOSTI.

We extend our gratitude to the school and MOSTI.

INEE Nano Roadshow – Series 4

The INEE Nano Roadshow – Series 4 was successfully held during the 2024 SRIAF Co-Curricular and STEM Carnival at Sekolah Rendah Islam Al-Furqan (SRIAF), Kampung Jejawi Dalam, Arau, Perlis, on December 12, 2024.

Six INEE staff members participated in the event in collaboration with the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Technology (FKTEN) and the Promotion and Marketing Division (PMD) under the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). They organized an exhibition space aimed at providing early exposure and sparking interest in fields related to Nanotechnology and STEM.

Activities included Snap Circuit, Sudoku, Mathematical Draughts (DaMaT), Memory Game, IQ Puzzler, and more. It is hoped that this program will inspire students to further explore and appreciate the fields of nanotechnology and STEM in the future.
