Thank you to Prof. Michael Kraft, Head of Micro and Nano System (MNS), Ku-Leuven University, Belgium for the visit to Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering, UniMAP. More research activities will be explored.
Nano Roadshow INEE 2024 @ PSNCWU
The Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE) has organized a Nano Roadshow program for 2024 to attract students’ interest in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology in conjunction with UniMAP Innovation Month and School Out Kids In (SOKI) at the Eureka Room, Northern Region National Science Center (PSNCWU) on February 28, 2024.
This program involves 40 students aged between 5 and 17 from schools around Perlis. A total of 26 facilitators are involved in the success of this program. The program began with a lecture entitled “Journey to the Nano World” by Associate Professor Dr. Ramzan Mat Ayub to introduce the terms and importance of nano. Participants were then exposed to various activities using various STEM-based kits and toys before being taken to visit galleries and exhibitions at the National Science Center. The program concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to the participants.
INEE Team Building Program
The INEE Team Building Program was successfully conducted for 2 days starting from January 20-21, 2024, which has passed. This Team Building was held at Teluk Senangin, Lumut, Perak.
Hopefully, this program can further enhance the spirit and productivity of INEE members to a higher level. Congratulations to All!
The visit from UiTM Perlis
On January 5, 2024, the Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE) received a delegation from the Faculty of Applied Sciences, UiTM Perlis.
This visit aimed to establish research collaborations between INEE and UiTM Perlis.
The delegation, comprising several lecturers and postgraduate students, also toured the laboratories at INEE.
Research Collaboration with Universities in China
From October 26th to November 9th, two research fellows from INEE and two lecturers from FKTEN conducted a collaborative research visit in Shandong, China, under the One Belt One Road Grant by the Chinese Government.
Shandong University (SDU) hosted this grant, and they were located at the School of Integrated Circuits from October 26th to November 10th. The cleanroom laboratories here are equipped with complete microelectronic fabrication equipment. The ongoing collaborative project at SDU focuses on Source-Gated Thin Film Transistors.
On November 6th, a visit took place at the Shandong University of Technology (SDUT). Discussions there primarily revolved around dual-degree programs in computer science. However, regarding research, Professor Liu is involved in the gas sensor field, which aligns with the research at INEE.
Subsequently, from November 7th to 9th, they transited to the Southern University of Science and Technology. The research collaboration discussed here pertains to quantum light-emitting diodes (QLED) for screen displays.
