On 7 July 2025, the Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE) organised the NANO Roadshow – Biotech Exploration Series 6 and STI 100^3: 100 Scientists, 100 Schools, 100 Days at a selected school, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (C) Nan Kwang, Tajar, Alor Setar, Kedah.
This programme was held in collaboration with Bioeconomy Corporation and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), as part of a national initiative through the simultaneous implementation of the Scientists@Schools: Jom STEM! programme in 10,233 schools nationwide.
This effort was recorded in The Malaysia Book of Records as the largest school science programme in Malaysia. The programme was fully sponsored by MOSTI through Bioeconomy Corporation.

On the 22nd and 23rd of April 2025, several staff members and research fellows of INEE received their respective awards during the UniMAP Seri Gemilang Awards Ceremony 2024, which included the Research Excellence Award (AKP), Excellent Service Award (APC), Special Excellent Service Award (AKPC), and the Long Service Award. The ceremony was held at the Excellence Hall, Pauh Putra Campus, Universiti Malaysia Perlis.
The awards were officiated by the Vice Chancellor of UniMAP, YBhg. Dato’, and the Chancellor of UniMAP, Tuanku Canselor. Congratulations to:

On March 4, 2025, INEE, in collaboration with Bioeconomy Corporation (BioCorp), an agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), organized the NanoRoadshow – Series 5 ‘Biotech Exploration’ program at Dewan Seri Utara, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Padang Besar Utara, Perlis.
This school was selected by MOSTI as part of the STI 100 Scientists 100 Schools 100 Days program for Cycle 1.5. The event was also held in conjunction with the 2025 UniMAP Research and Innovation Excellence Month. Fully sponsored by MOSTI, the program involved more than 50 students from Form 4 and Form 5.
Congratulations to Ts. Dr. Nor Azizah Parmin as the program director. Special thanks to the school, especially the Principal and the entire school management. Deepest appreciation to MOSTI and Bioeconomy Corporation for their sponsorship. May programs like this continue to benefit all students. Thank you!

A visit was conducted by INEE to the Faculty of Science and the Trace Analysis and Biosensor COE (TAB-COE) at Prince of Songkla University (PSU) on February 24. The Faculty of Science was represented by the Deputy Dean (Academic & International), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimonsri Mittraparp-Arthorn, while TAB-COE was represented by its Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chongdee Buranachai.
The meeting, which was also attended by researchers from the Faculty of Science, discussed the Dual-Degree program for postgraduate programs between INEE and the Faculty of Science, PSU. The potential for research collaboration was also explored in depth. Hopefully, this collaboration will continue to thrive.
