The Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE) is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education for the following degree programs. Postgraduate intakes are open for application to graduates who wish to further their studies in research-based higher degree programs leading to:
- M.Sc in Nanoelectronic Engineering
- M.Sc in Nanomaterial Engineering
- M.Sc in Nanobiotechnology Engineering

Entry requirements for acceptance into the programmes are based on the following qualifications (and experience where applicable.)
a) A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 from a university recognised by the University Senate
OR
b) A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related fields with minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75 can be accepted subjected to rigorous internal assesment:
i. Work experience in relevant fields or research experience recognized by the Universit Senate; or
ii. Obtained a minimum grade of B+ for final year project; or
iii. Obtained a minimum grade of B+ for courses related to the applied postgraduate programme, with the approval of the University Senate.
c) A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related fields not meeting CGPA 2.50 can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5-years work experience in relevant fields.
d) Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the University Senate.
e) For international students, there is an additional English language requirements, which is:
i. A minimum score of 500 in TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or
ii. A minimum score of 5.0 in IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
Full-Time: Minimum 1 year - Maximum 3 years
Part-Time: Minimum 2 years - Maximum 5 years
a) Students must publish their research works (first author and UniMAP affiliation) prior to thesis submission, 5 points which consist of types of publication according to the scoring system as given in Table 1.
b) Complete MSc thesis.
c) Pass viva-voce
