Visit of INEE Researchers to AMREC SIRIM, Kulim
A visit was conducted by INEE researchers to the Advanced Materials Research Center (AMREC), Sirim Berhad in Kulim, Kedah on March 7, 2024. May this visit further strengthen the research collaboration network between INEE and AMREC, Sirim Kulim.

At the UniMAP Seri Gemilang Awards 2023 ceremony, three INEE staff members received the 2023 Research Excellence Awards, namely Prof. Dr. Subash Gopinath, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Muhammad Mahyiddin Ramli, and Dr. Nor Azizah Parmin.
Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Voon Chun Hong was awarded the Excellent Service Award (APC), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nuzaihan Md Nor was honored with the Long Service Award – Service Medal.
Additionally, INEE was also awarded the UniRA 5 Star rating. May these awards ignite even more enthusiasm to continue excelling. Congratulations to all!
Visit from Prof. Michael Kraft
Thank you to Prof. Michael Kraft, Head of Micro and Nano System (MNS), Ku-Leuven University, Belgium for the visit to Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering, UniMAP. More research activities will be explored.
Nano Roadshow INEE 2024 @ PSNCWU
The Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE) has organized a Nano Roadshow program for 2024 to attract students’ interest in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology in conjunction with UniMAP Innovation Month and School Out Kids In (SOKI) at the Eureka Room, Northern Region National Science Center (PSNCWU) on February 28, 2024.
This program involves 40 students aged between 5 and 17 from schools around Perlis. A total of 26 facilitators are involved in the success of this program. The program began with a lecture entitled “Journey to the Nano World” by Associate Professor Dr. Ramzan Mat Ayub to introduce the terms and importance of nano. Participants were then exposed to various activities using various STEM-based kits and toys before being taken to visit galleries and exhibitions at the National Science Center. The program concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to the participants.
