On November 21, 2023, several staff members from the Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE) were involved in the success of STEM with Community as part of the UniMAP Convocation Festival (FESTKON UniMAP 2023).
Fun With STEM
Nine staff members from the Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE) were involved in the successful execution of the ‘Fun With STEM’ program at Maktab Rendah Sains MARA, Arau, Perlis on November 3, 2023. This program, involving 300 students from Form 1 & 2, aimed to spark and cultivate an interest among students in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to foster creative and innovative learners. The event was jointly organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Electronic Technology of Unimap, led by Mr. Mohd Hafiz Ismail.
INEE CSR and STEM Programme Series 2
On the previous 9th October 2018, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) Programme was successfully organized
by the Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP).
During this time, a total of 10 primary school students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato’ Wan Ahmad was given exposure to the knowledge in nanotechnology. They were brought into the INEE laboratory for a tour and were given a new experience and opportunity to operate several equipment.
They were accompanied by two teachers and the most memorable time is when the school’s headmistress was also able to participate in the programme. It is hope that this program and this bond between the school and university will remain in the future.

On the previous 19th September 2018, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) Programme was successfully organized
by the Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP).
During this time, a total of 12 primary school students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan Raja Syed Alwi was given exposure to the knowledge in nanotechnology. They were brought into the INEE laboratory for a tour and were given a new experience and opportunity to operate several equipment.
They were accompanied by two science teachers and the most memorable time is when the school’s headmistress was also able to participate in the programme. It is hope that this program and this bond between the school and university will remain in the future.
